ABOUT MY PROCESS:
Unique, these remind me of what an Etruscan lady- or someone from the ancient world- might have worn.
This is a one-of-a-kind set, from my gold luster hand-painted series- the Sophia Collection.
Each earring is individually crafted, by me; the glazes on this one create a unique, non-reproducible blend. The amber-yellow translucent glaze and the 22 KT gold work well together. The metal elements are gold-filled or gold-plated findings and wires I create with.
Porcelain is a high or mid-range fired natural clay made of superfine particles. It can become translucent and glass-like. (Firings go over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit) It's not an easy material to work with, but I love the results!
